iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.1 Jailbreak question please

Hi I have an old iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.1 and a carrier lock that has been reset and is waiting to activate. Are there any tools on 3u or any other tools I can use please to get it up and running for my kids. I spent £25 on a fake unlock internet service already called iphoneapprovedunlock so now I am trying software. The phone is worth nothing its just for fun. Many thanks
