Yalu + Mach Portal Beta 4 Jailbreak for iOS 10 Released-What's New?

Postby Grace Liu » 04 Jan 2017 15:50

We have already discussed how to jailbreak iOS 10.1 -10.1.1 using Yalu jailbreak + mach_portal app Beta 3. Yalu jailbreak beta 3 is extremely unstable and causing many issues due to Cydia substrate disable. Enable Cydia substrate on iOS 10 jailbreak beta 3 update. Luca Todesco released subsequent jailbreak updates to make iOS 10 jailbreak consistent and stable. Recently Luca pushed out iOS 10/10.1.1 Yalu + mach_portal beta 4 jailbreak update for compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Here in this post, we will discuss what’s new in this beta 4 update.

The new Yalu + mach_portal beta 4 jailbreak update brought us many new changes to the iOS 10 jailbreak. A noticeable change Luca made is official support for Cydia substrate has been added to the new Yalu jailbreak + mach_portal app beta 4 iOS 10 jailbreak. But as we have shown previously, substrate support was possible with the previous version of the jailbreak too, though unofficially.

In addition to Cydia substrate support, the new jailbreak has made OS more stable than beta 3 update, but beta 4 jailbreak version for iOS 10 has also its bugs and introducing some new issues during jailbreak process like OS not coming back after reloading, in which case it is recommended to reboot the device and continue jailbreak process once again.

Yalu jailbreak + mach_portal app beta 3 iOS 10 jailbreak update came up with support to iPhone 7, iPhone 7 plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S plus and iPad Pro officially. It works for those limited number of selected 64-bit devices only and completely out of support for 32-bit iOS 10 devices.

Yalu jailbreak version beta 4 jailbreak also failed for iPhone 7 plus running iOS 10.1.1 in our test while the beta 3 version of jailbreak worked fine. So we recommend you to stay on beta 3 jailbreak version till beta 5 jailbreak version is out. If you are curious and want to test the jailbreak you can download it from here. If you face any issues while jailbreaking you can download jailbreak for iOS 10 beta 3 from here and follow our guide to jailbreak iOS 10 using Yalu jailbreak + mach_portal app and get back to beta 3 jailbreak version for iOS 10.

Please keep an eye on 3uTools, we will update any latest information about iOS 10 jailbreak.
